Lip Blush

Lip blush is a subtle, modern form of permanent makeup for the lips designed to enhance natural color, improve symmetry, and restore definition. At Amor By Tammy, we create soft, natural results that complement your skin tone and facial features.

What is a lip blush tattoo?

A lip blush tattoo is a professional cosmetic tattoo procedure that deposits pigment into the lips using fine tattooing needles. Unlike traditional lip tattoos, lip blush is designed to look soft, natural, and semi-sheer — enhancing your natural lip tone rather than creating a bold lipstick effect.

  • Restore natural color
  • Define blurred lip borders
  • Improve symmetry
  • Create the appearance of fuller lips

How long does it last?

Lip blush results typically last 1–3 years, depending on skin type, lifestyle, overall health, sun exposure, pigment choice, and implantation depth.

Lips are highly vascular, so the body metabolizes pigment faster than other areas of the face — meaning lip blush fades more quickly than other permanent makeup.

How often are touch-ups needed?

We recommend lip blush touch-ups every 1–2 years to maintain color vibrancy and definition.

An initial touch-up is required to perfect symmetry, density, and color retention.

Good to know

Factors that affect lip blush

Bleeding

Excessive bleeding during the procedure may reduce pigment absorption.

Sun exposure

UV exposure can significantly soften pigment and alter color appearance. Avoid sun and tanning beds 30 days before and after your appointment.

Lifestyle

Smoking, frequent sun exposure, and distressed skin may reduce pigment longevity.

⚠ Clients arriving with a fresh tan or sunburn will be required to reschedule and may incur a rescheduling fee.

Why clients love it

Benefits of lip blush

  • Enhances natural lip color
  • Defines blurred lip lines
  • Camouflages scars and hypopigmentation
  • Smudge-proof and kiss-proof
  • Creates the appearance of fuller lips
  • Reduces the need for daily lip makeup
  • Saves time and money

Lip blush after fillers

A minimum of 6 months post-filler is required before lip blush.

For best results, lip blush is recommended before filler injections, once lips are fully healed.

Long-term care

Touch-ups are optional but recommended. Without maintenance, color will gradually fade over time.

  • Inform MRI technicians if you have iron-oxide cosmetic tattoos
  • Cover lips with 20% zinc oxide during laser treatments
  • Protect lips when using acidic or brightening skincare (AHA, retinol, peels)
