FAQ
How long do eyelash extensions last?
Eyelash extensions shed naturally along with your lash growth cycle. With proper care and regular maintenance, a full set can last up to two months.
Longevity varies based on your natural lash cycle, skin type (oily skin may experience faster shedding), lifestyle habits, and aftercare routine. Because lash cycles differ from person to person, exact retention times cannot be guaranteed.
Why are fills necessary?
Natural lashes grow and shed continuously over a cycle of approximately 30–120 days. Since lashes do not shed all at once, fills are needed to maintain fullness.
- Classic fills: typically every 1–2 weeks
- Volume fills: typically every 2–4 weeks
If retention is below 30%, the appointment will be considered a new set.
How long do appointments take?
- New sets: approximately 1.5–3 hours
- Fills: approximately 45 minutes–1.5 hours
Are eyelash extensions safe for natural lashes?
Yes. When applied correctly by a trained professional, lash extensions do not damage natural lashes. We use professional-grade adhesive designed specifically for human lashes, forming a soft, flexible bond that feels comfortable and weightless.
Can lash extensions be removed?
Yes. Lash extensions can be safely removed at any time using a professional gel remover. Please do not attempt removal at home, as this may damage your natural lashes.
Can you wear mascara?
Mascara is generally unnecessary. If you choose to wear it, only oil-free, non-waterproof mascara should be used.
Can your lashes get wet?
Avoid water for 24–48 hours after application or fills to allow the adhesive to fully cure. After that, normal activities may resume. Steam, saunas, and hot yoga may reduce retention.
Sensitive eyes or allergies?
Patch testing is available. Adhesive may be applied to the skin or a single lash and monitored prior to a full application.
What will affect my lash extensions?
Makeup itself will not damage extensions, but always use oil-free makeup removers and gentle techniques when cleansing the eye area.
Can I use eyelash curlers?
Mechanical eyelash curlers are not recommended, as they can damage extensions. A lash curl may be performed prior to a new set but cannot be repeated between fills.
Who is not a suitable client?
Eyelash extensions may not be recommended for clients who:
- Rub, pull, or twist their lashes
- Are unable to follow aftercare instructions
- Have active eye conditions (e.g., styes or conjunctivitis)
- Wear heavy eye makeup daily
- Have very oily skin (may experience faster shedding)
